Biography

Peter Kirkov has over 20 years of experience in various positions related to Information Security in organizations from both the public and private sectors. He has worked on multiple projects related to data protection, design and implementation of high-reliability and high-performance IT systems, communication networks, and cybersecurity solutions. He has led a consulting and IT audit department in a Big4 company and has experience in digital forensics. His main focus is on processes in cybersecurity at the organizational, national, and international levels, and he also has experience with a large portfolio of IT technologies. Peter heads the "Network and Information Security" department at the Ministry of Electronic Governance, where he is responsible for national and European policies and regulatory acts related to cybersecurity and data protection, certification, and is also appointed as National Cybersecurity Coordinator.
